This month, many of my articles focused on aligning the investments that you choose with your circumstances. At Morningstar, we are big advocates for knowing what you’re invested in, and why you’re invested in it. A key to successful investing is understanding how the investments you hold are connected to the financial goals that you are trying to achieve.

It is also about understanding what works for you. It is important that you are guided by an investment strategy that you believe will maximise your outcomes. Sometimes this is done by understanding other perspectives, and forming your own based on what works and doesn’t work for you. Sometimes, it is learning from your past mistakes and learnings. Most of the time, it is a combination of both.

This month, I’ve looked at how purposeful and well-informed decisions can increase the chances of investing success.

In April, I’ll be taking an extended break. I’ll be returning in May with fresh content and insights for investors.
